		<description>Hi Anne,
I am an assistant principal from a middle school in New Zealand.
I have been reading with interest your blogs on literacy and in particular your links to literature circles. We have been using literature circles for a few years now, and find them an excellent way to promote deeper thinking and understanding of the books our students are reading.
Just this year, I have started a blog with a group of students (10-11 yrs old) recording the progress and process of their literature circle. It has been so successful(still a work in progress), that now many other teachers are setting up blogs for their class circles.
I would love your feedback on this idea and how you think this blog does enhance and extend the learning - as that is what we are all about.
