New tech guidelines for teachers
ASCD Brief points us to eSchool News, The International Society for Technology in Education has revised the guidelines for what it believes students should know about technology prior to graduation. They’re seeking feedback from educators on a draft version of the new guidelines. Give them your input!

I’ll leave this comment, but I don’t think it will ever really be taught and it’s a shame!
Today’s graduates need to understand that online learning + technology allows students to get excited about learning. As an educator, it’s alot easier to teach a student who is excited to learn. In class learning versus online learning (or learning in the school computer room), is a lot more exciting to the student.

I thought it would be interesting to set up a wiki and allow the bloggers and teachers to put down THEIR thoughts on what the new NETS for Teachers should include, given the new standards for students. Here is the wiki: http://nets4teachers.wikispaces.com
I do hope that it can gather some steam. It should be FASCINATING to say the least.
