		<description>Mosaic of Thought is also one of my favourite books. I spent 4 years working in New York schools with teachers and Mosiac of Thought guided many of my discussions. I think the simple insight (in hindsight) that we don't teach the stragegies that good readers use is very powerful once teachers latch onto it. 

I often asked teachers to talk with struggling readers and one question to ask is what do they see when they read. Regularly teachers would be surprised that these kids don't visualise anything because they are just struggling with decoding.
