Thanks for the comment Chris. I am very proud!! These students are quite an interesting group. Would you mind sending me your email address. I could not find it on your blog. Mine is adavis[AT]gsu[DOT]edu

There is some excellent stuff here Anne.

Just a quick question about access to the blogs. Did you need to ask the students if it was OK to publicise their blogs or do you discuss this with them up front. I find that my students like the idea that they can use a blog to share with others in the group but do not feel so confident about sharing with the world. They know that their blog is public but they also know that the chance of it being found without knowing the URL is very small.

    Thanks Rowland!

I discuss the fact that their blogs will be public. Since I have had the good fortune to work with both elementary and university students there is a big difference. Elementary students love that others see their blogs. They think that is a great thing. I have had the same experiences as you with some of my university students. In fact it was amazing to me but the most hesitant group just happened to be a technology class. I think we do something to students as they progress up the educational ladder. Taking a risk is fearful to them.I think that is unfortunate. This would be interesting to dig into a little deeper. Thanks again for you nice comment!
