Disturbing legislation
Hmmm, shall I move to Scotland, Canada, or Australia? Seriously, read Sam, Andy, or Will. Enough said.
Christopher Harris says it best:
Protecting children is good, but educating them is better.
Filter a website and you protect a student for a day. Educate students about online safety in a real world environment and you protect your child for a lifetime.
Plus, he has good suggestions for approaching this topic that are much better than the absolute frustration I’m feeling now.

Dear Anne,
It would be great if you could bring your blogging expertise to primary and secondary schools down under.
Harris has a great point that I think most schools should follow. Why don’t students blog on the INTRAnet if they’re so concerned about having their ideas out there?
I’m very sorry you’re feeling frustrated.

Yes, this is intensely frustrating.

Really, I’m surprised you can’t see this coming. And can you see what’s coming still? I haven’t read this book but your suggestion of flight reminded me of Dave Warlick’s mention of it…
