On a previous post Lynn made a comment asking for help for a staff development piece on wikis. I pointed her to PB Wiki. Anyone have other suggestions for Lynn?

There others we’ve played with are tikiwiki and mediawiki. Our conclusion has been that as mediawiki is what is used on wikipedia, it ends up being the easiest to envision formatting. Which, i think, is the hardest part of using a wiki for someone without design experience… but i’ll probably have a different opinion on this tomorrow

I just used pbwiki in a professional development class this evening. It was simple enough for the teachers to understand, although I had to go through it a few times. I left them with a task of updating one page on the wiki, then creating one new entry. We’ll see how it goes.
