How do you protect what is written on the blogs? I guess with their grade right? I'd like to try setting up a blog for some reflection....our question kinda rests right now on what if a leader, teacher or other student posts another child's name on the blog? It could become dangerous. How do you protect reputations?

Thanks for your enthusiastic appreciation of my 8th grade students' words! I hope you'll get a chance to visit our blog and read more of their comments. If you start at the beginning of the blog (which is also the beginning of our boat-building project), you'll really see improvement in their ability to communicate their thoughts. Creating the blog was a wonderful experience and my students and I loved it!

That is a great find. I think that once students have the ability to express themselves beyond the usual audience (Mom/Dad/Teacher) they really start to feel empowered.
